Get ready for over 100 pictures....literally...
We had so much fun at Disney. I was really surprised at how much fun Owen had. He isn't even two yet, and he enjoyed every minute. He didn't take a nap the whole time we were there. He didn't want to miss a thing!
Here are a few pictures of Owen at the airport...
Speaking of the airport....Owen did GREAT on the plane. He loved looking out the window at the clouds. He didn't cry one time.
After arriving at the airport, we rode on a bus to Disney. It was a 45 minute drive with no seat belts or car seats. I was a little nervous, but all was well!
We stayed at the Art of Animation hotel in a Lion King room. (Owen LOVED it!) Here is a picture of Owen with his Papaw, and "Fiki" right after we arrived.
We ate dinner at The Rain Forest Cafe that night. Owen loved watching the elephants flap their ears, but he wasn't a huge fan of the thunderstorms. He says they were "pooky".
After dinner, we watched the light parade and fireworks at the Magic Kingdom. Owen was tired, and in awe. I LOVE his face in these pictures.
This next picture could be my favorite. "We get to go to Disney World again, Mommy!!!!?!?"
Had to make time for some bubbles before we left for our first day at Disney...
We spent most of our first day at the Animal Kingdom. We rode the safari ride first. I think the safari was one of Owen's favorites.
We watched The Lion King show at the Animal Kingdom. Owen wasn't quite sure of it. I think the men dancing on stilts were a little scary to him. He also wasn't a fan of "It's Tough to be a Bug". He did not like that the bug sprayed water on him. Here is a picture of Owen doing the "hand jive" with his Grammy at The Lion King show.
We also got to ride a Triceratops (similar to Dumbo) at The Animal Kingdom. Here we are in line for that ride....
The parades at Disney World are my favorite! The Animal Kingdom had a "jungle" parade that we watched that afternoon.
Owen met his first character at the Animal Kingdom. He met Rafiki on Rafiki's train ride. He wasn't too sure about him. He warmed up to the characters pretty quickly though!
The next day was spent at The Magic Kingdom. I think the Magic Kingdom was our favorite!
Owen was able to ride several rides at The Magic Kingdom. We were were a little disappointed that the teacups were down for maintenance. Owen kept saying "I'll fix it Mommy".

Matt took TONS of pictures of the Magic Carpet ride. Owen's face was so cute in ALL of them. I couldn't narrow it down, so ENJOY the many cute/precious faces of Owen. :) He was so tired/relaxed. I love his profile. :) He may be the smallest of all of his friends, but he still has the sweetest cheeks!
After a fun day at the Magic Kingdom we ate dinner at Chef Mickey's. If you have children this is a MUST. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is even better. Here are some pictures of us with the characters. Owen LOVED them. We asked Goofy about his "stinky shoes", made Donald jealous with Owen's Mickey shirt, kissed all of the characters noses and gave them high fives, got some licks from Pluto, and even had some sweet laughs with Mickey.
I know I have so many "favorites" but I love the pictures of Owen laughing with Mickey and this one of him eating his dinner and twirling his napkin to the "Celebrate" song.
Owen's favorite thing by far was the Disney Junior show at Hollywood Studios. I loved that the children got to sit on the floor, and be so close to the characters!
Sometimes (even at Disney) you just need to explore! Owen loved walking the "balance beam" by the gardens.
We loved Disney Junior so much we did it twice.

We also enjoyed another parade during our last day at the parks.
Owen earned his very own set of ears with his name on them.
We enjoyed dinner at Planet Hollywood on the last night, but poor Owen slept through the entire meal. He was worn slam out!
We caught another light parade, just us 3, on the last night. We also got caught in a monsoon of rain. Owen loved it. :)
Disney was so much fun, and we can't wait to go back. Owen still talks about it EVERY DAY! Anytime he sees a castle (tall building), he says he wants to go back to the castle. We had to get a new toothbrush the other day, and Owen picked out a pink Tinkerbell toothbrush. I thought it was so funny. He loves that thing. He says it is a "girl" toofbrush, but it is Tinkerbell. :)
