16 weeks!

How far along? 16 weeks

Baby Size: Avocado (according to Babycenter!)

Total weight gain/loss: 1-2 lbs depending on the day

Maternity clothes?  No, but still in one pair of regular shorts, nike shorts, and dresses.

Stretch marks? Nope.

Sleep: Pretty normal

Best Moment this week? Nothing new!

Miss Anything? Not that I can think of

Movement: I still feel you fluttering every now and then. For the first time you kicked hard enough for your brother to feel you! You've only done that once.

Food cravings:  Still love band camp burrito bowls and sweettart jelly beans. Sweettart Jelly Beans except for the lemon ones. I know some pregnant nauseous women love lemon flavored things, but they make me want to gag.

Anything making you queasy or sick: Meat. I don't really have much of an appetite at all, but everything about meat makes me sick. I usually don't get hungry until about 2.

Gender prediction: Girl! Not too long and we will know for sure.

Labor Signs:  No

Have you started to show yet: Most days that I *think* I look pregnant, I just ate too much. I think I am starting to form my baby bump.:)

Belly Button in or out?  In

Wedding rings on or off?  On

Symptoms: A little sensitive. Still Nauseous from time to time.

Happy or Moody most of the time:  Moodier then normal.

Looking forward to: Finding out the gender :)

Playing with my sweet boy!

Last week I couldn't get on facebook without crying. I kept looking at all the sweet children's back to school pictures. I started thinking.... Owen is two. These two years have flown by....in three years he will be in Kindergarten. I know that day will be here before I know it. Never again, will we have full days together in the fall, winter, and spring...just the summer. I love my "school year" time with Owen, and I don't want to give it up.

I think I am going to be a greedy Mama, and not share him with a pre-school teacher the year before Kindergarten. Even if I hoard him that one extra year, I know Kindergarten days will be here in the blink of an eye. I shed a lot of tears last week just thinking about that day!

With all of that being said, I am not taking another day, another hour, another minute, or another second for granted! The first 5 years are the only time you get "forever" with your babies. I am going to savor it all. I am also enjoying the last few months with just Owen as my son, and not having to share my time with another baby. (I promise I don't mean that like it sounds)

So here we are! Playing to learn, and not taking a single second for granted! Here's what we've been doing....

We've been to the imagination station...

Choo Choo!

"Would you like to read this book with me, Mommy?"

"oooo!"

My favorite!

Our apartment just put up a new park! Owen was so excited. He kept saying "I can't wait to meet it!!!". We've had lots of rain, but once it stopped we went straight to the park. He ran screaming happy squeals the whole way there. (sorry to any neighbors we might have woken up)

He picked out his outfit. This little boy is ready for football.

This summer Florida has set records with rainfall. Owen and I packed a picnic lunch to take to the pool...hoping we might miss the rain. We didn't. I think he enjoyed eating and watching the rain fall!

He threw down his cheetos when he saw this banana! He is such a healthy boy!

We couldn't swim, so we played water guns instead. Owen had a blast!

Owen played so hard that he fell fast asleep as soon as we got home. Naps are few and far between lately, so he must've been exhausted. I love watching him sleep!

We've had lots of fun playing in our pjs on rainy mornings. Sometimes Owen *needs* to wear long sleeve pajamas on hot days, because they have cool pictures of spiderman on them.

Owen loves his graduated stacking blocks! He learns so much from play. :) He told me he was stacking them biggest to smallest to make stairs.

I love watching Owen play T-ball. He loves to hit the ball and run the bases. Matt and I think he is going to be a lefty. :)

My little baseball boy...

Best pictures ever!

I love watching Owen paint. He is quite the artist. We might have made his Grandparent's gifts for Grandparent's Day yesterday, and he might have already asked to make another one today. (But shh...don't tell them...it's a "suhhhh-pize"!) Maybe I shouldn't have started so early. I hope pinterest has two weeks worth of ideas. ;)

I put some towels in the washing machine. (Right next to the kitchen) When I turned around Owen had painted himself like a "super guy". He was super proud, and we definitely spent our morning with blue arms. How could I make him wash it off?

Love that toe ^^

Later that day, we had pizza and went swimming!

He is the only kid I know that LOVES pepperoni. He picks it off, and eats them first. haha!

My blogging might be slowing down in the near future. Owen has really started cutting back on naps. (not that he doesn't need them...he is just too busy) I don't want to be the mom that is always on the computer. I only get on here when he is sleeping, Matt is playing with him another room, or sometimes while he is eating his breakfast. I hope to keep up, but it is hard to stay up late while growing another human being in my belly. :)

I thought I would end this post, with the cutest little videos in the world. I LOVE the way Owen says Pumpernickel bread and Hop Skotch!

Weekend in Enterprise!

I must say Owen and I have missed Birmingham on these rainy days here in Pensacola. Most of the things to do here are outside.  I think I took the wonderful story times Birmingham libraries offered for granted! Birmingham story times are like free Gymboree classes. The story times here are books, and a few songs. They are definitely not as up beat as Birmingham. Owen always asks for Miss Nay Nay when we go to the library. :( (if you live in Birmingham and have a child...you know who Miss Nay Nay is)

We LOVE Pensacola on sunny days when we can go to the beach and play at parks! We also love the much more relaxed atmosphere. :)

One of the perks of living in Pensacola is being close to my family. My family missed out on a lot of Owen's first year of life due to the distance. I think I went to see them twice. Personally, I don't think it is fair to make children travel long distances. I know people do it all the time, but it just isn't what we do. I HATE traveling long distances, so I can't imagine how much a child with a short attention span hates it!  I worked a full time job all throughout college, so I didn't get to visit Enterprise much the whole time I lived there. These past few months have been nice. I've seen my family more than I have seen them since 2006. It is the most I've seen them in seven years. I can't believe I moved to Birmingham seven years ago. (Wow, makes me feel old!) This move is temporary. We are enjoying the 18 months-2 years we have close to one another. It will be nice to feel like my side of the family is a part of our new baby's life this go round! It is funny how God works things out. We were 1 1/2-2 hours from Matt's family when Owen was born, and now we will be the same exact distance from my parents with this baby. I do wish we could be in two places at once (or maybe had a jet plane), but if we can't I think God gave us a pretty fair game plan. We miss Grammy and Papaw daily, and have lots of big plans ahead! I know they are anxiously awaiting our move back to Birmingham. :)

With that being said, Owen and I made a trip to Enterprise this past weekend. Matt had a Bachelor party, so we headed to the land of the Boll Weevil. :)

Uncle Christopher took us to the fire station. If you live in Enterprise, as long as a fire truck is at the station, they will give your child a tour. You don't have to schedule a time or anything. How nice is that??

A fire truck is really tall, and it was a little scary inside. ;)

Owen "petting" the fire hat.

Yes, Owen is wearing the queso sticker from my Buritto Bowl from Moe's. What else would you do with a Queso sticker?

While going through pictures, I realized I didn't get a single one of Gangan and Pappy. I hate that I didn't! I guess I was just too busy soaking up the moment to take a picture. Gangan has been sick since December. Owen wasn't allowed to visit her while in the hospital. The last time we saw Gangan, Owen was a little scared of her trach, and held back. I was so relieved this time! He wasn't scared at all, and he didn't miss a beat. I love how little ones just pick up where they left off. I may not have an actual picture, but the pictures in my head will never leave. Owen sat on Gangan's bed, eating bowls of blueberries, and had long conversations with Gangan and Pappy. He must have hugged and kissed them a million times. I am so glad they got special bonding time this trip!!!! I loved witnessing it!

Owen also loves his Nana and Papa! He talked to me the whole trip to Enterprise. He said "Winston is a dog, and me and Papa are guys."

Here are the "guys" resting!

Uncle Nekko and Aunt Neena took Owen to Milky Moos. Owen LOVES his Aunt Neena. In fact, he loves her so much that he doesn't like anyone else when she is around. Owen told Uncle Nekko "I wanted to see Aunt Neena, not you!!!" He also told me "I only like Aunt Neena, she my best friend, not you Mommy." Perhaps, it is because Aunt Neena does whatever Owen wants. You must go to Milky Moos while in Enterprise, but I wouldn't recommend taking a toddler there for lunch. I don't know many two year olds that would eat their lunch, while watching everyone eat ice cream. Needless to say, Owen had chocolate ice cream for lunch. :)

Owen was a hoot at Milky Moos. He supplied everyone with entertainment. ;) He dropped his ice cream on the ground and yelled "Nobody worry, I'm okay!" He also took his hat off and said he was "naked". What would I do without my witty little man??

My camera and the lighting in Mom and Dad's kitchen don't get along. Ignore the quality of these pictures.

Owen making cookies with Poppy. That is a video camera in his hand. This adventure needed to be documented. :)

Owen insisted the cookies be in a straight line. Rather than break his spirit, we put them in the oven just like that. :) Once he was playing and not paying attention, Poppy fixed them. :)

Owen made himself at home at Mimi and Poppy's house and requested to do every messy thing he could possibly imagine. From paints to Play Doh, this little boy did it all!

T-ball Play-doh...you should try it! It makes a fun mess. :)

Aunt Amber loves to buy Owen presents. Sweet thing buys him something every time we come home. Owen LOVED his Thomas Choo Choo. It gets "muddy" when it rides through water.

Family time is the best time! We can't wait to see Grammy, Papaw, Mimi, Poppy, and possibly more family in a couple of weeks at the Gender Reveal! We love you all!!!
