Spring has Sprung!

Spring has sprung!

...and we are now a family of FOUR!

This little guy right here has done so well with the transition. Owen, I am so proud of  you!

I do my "monthly" updates of Abe, so I thought I would start this blog with a small update on my sweet Owen.

He loves his brother to pieces! He loves to get his blanket, spit rags, and paci. He also loves singing to him. :)

I love how compassionate and sweet Owen is...he has been blessed with a gentle, caring heart.

His favorite movie right now is Frozen. One of my favorite things to do is listen to him belt out "Do you want to build a snowman?" and "Let it Go" when he is singing a long with his sound track.

I love the way toddlers/preschoolers pronounce words. Owen used to have difficulty saying r's and s's. He is growing and maturing, and that has started to change. Most of the time r's are still "ore" but he has started using the "s" sound consistently.

Some of my favorite words Owen pronounces/things he says...
Yellow- "Ye-ow"
Dinner- "Dinner'ed"

Anything that happened in the past is "the last day".
He always asks if you are "happy at him, or angry at him".
When he gets in trouble he says "Okay Mommy, I will be nice to you."
He always says please, thank you, and excuse me. He corrects us if we forget.
When he wants to talk but doesn't know what to say he says "Mommy, you're my best friend."

His favorite food is pizza.

Owen's loves reading, and his favorite books right now are the Pigeon book series from "The Pigeon Drives the Bus".

I think his favorite things to do are sing and draw pictures. He makes up songs about everything he does, and is always singing.

He LOVES to draw. Here is a portrait he drew by himself of Matt. I think it is a framer...

I am pretty sure I could write a book with funny and sweet things Owen says...there is no way I could share it all in one blog post. Here are a few of my favorites though...

"Those grapes are going to POP right out of your breasts when you feed Abe."

He went with me to my postpartum check up, and he asked "if Ms. Jenny was going to put Abe back in my belly now." He was glad she wasn't, but he seriously believed that is what was going to happen.

"Mommy Abe sure is cute, but he can't possibly be cuter than me. That would just be impossible!"

"You are the best Mommy in the world."

"Kitties like to eat baking soda." (I am guessing he got this from a kitty litter commercial)

"Mommy, you used to have a baby inside you! What is inside you now? Hmm...I know MILK! Milk is inside you!"

"Thank you for driving me to gymnastics, Mommy."

"Only women have breasts, and only men have mustaches."

I love my sweet little two year old.

Here is an overload of pictures documenting what we've been up to since the birth of Abe....

We've had lots of visitors...(and I am awful at taking pics when they come...here are the few I've gotten)

Celebrating Mimi and Poppy's birthdays when they came to visit...

I also took the boys to Enterprise by myself. We had lots of stops, but we made it. I wasn't good about taking pictures there, but here are some of us playing outside.

Life has been a little chaotic while we are trying to adjust. I am probably not as entertaining as I once was, but we still have fun playing, learning, and being silly together. This blog is so unorganized, but I hope I enjoy looking back on these family memories one day. Enjoy the pictures of it all....
