Matt's Birthday/Chuggington (almost Justin Beiber) Party!

Our family has lots of special events back to back.

We have our Anniversary on May 30th.

Owen's Birthday on June 1st. (party)

Then Matt's Birthday on June 2nd.

Owen was so sweet when it came to planning his Daddy's birthday party.

First, he wanted to help me pick out a cake. He REALLY wanted to get Daddy a Justin Bieber cake. It had a REALLY cool guitar on it; however, it was STRAWBERRY cake. We all know Daddy LOVES chocolate. Owen ended up "custom" making Daddy a cake at Wal-Mart. Who wouldn't love this Chuggington cake!?!?

He made sure Daddy had a birthday hat. What's a birthday without a party hat?!?!

We sang the Happy Birthday song, and then Owen helped Daddy blow out the candles. It is hard to blow out candles when you are 29. ;)

Owen even helped Daddy eat his cake. :)

Owen picked out Daddy a birthday present from Wal-Mart all by himself.  He also picked out the Monkey Birthday card, and Mustache Birthday Bag.

I love his "I hope he likes it" face in this picture.

"I colored this card just for you, Daddy!"

A pair of Binoculars and a Mater Toothbrush....just what Daddy has always wanted!

"Let me try those out!"

Handing out the rest of Daddy's presents...

After Daddy finished opening presents, we went for a swim!

He was asking Daddy if he "had a good birthday party".

We hope you had a good birthday, Daddy! We love you!!!! Thanks for being the best husband/Daddy in the whole wide world.

Owen's Birthday Part 2!

Owen's birthday party fun didn't stop after his party.  We later had dinner at McLin's.  The birthday boy was almost as excited about the plate of pickles before his dinner as his Mommy. :) Papa always likes to remind me of the PLATES of pickles the waitresses brought me at McLin's when I was little.

We decided to be the weird "matchy matchy" family for Owen's birthday dinner.

 Even Papaw matched Owen!

Nana, Papa, and Owen!

Owen had a coconut pie birthday surprise at McLin's!

Our sweet boy had so much fun on his birthday! He even went to sleep in a special birthday boy tent.

Night Night my two year old angel baby! I love you to the moon!

Owen's SECOND Birthday Party!

Owen's second Birthday party was an absolute BLAST! We had a messy party. (perfect for messy little toddlers) It wasn't as extravagant as his first birthday. See HERE. It was so much fun though. We made Owen's birthday invitations with his sweet little hand print.

Sorry for the horrible picture I took with my phone. (no we don't have smartphones in the Fall house) The invitation read...

Owen is having a party 'cause he's turning two,
and we are saving a spot especially for you.

Let's celebrate Owen in the best two-year-old way...
with lots of fun and messy play.

The words no and don't won't be allowed.
We'll have a "yes" day for the toddler crowd.

Swim in spaghetti, squish some slime...
Join us for a MESSY time.

Birthdays are a really big deal to Owen right now. We've had so many parties for his stuffed animals. I wanted to make his party just how he pictured it in his head. We had the party in Enterprise at my parents. We just moved to Pensacola, and don't know a lot of people here just yet. I knew he would be upset if he didn't have party guests to play. It was so much fun catching up with old friends and seeing their babies!

This party was a lot less stressful.I had so much fun planning it, and putting it together. It was extra special because it fell on Owen's actual birthday. It is so much fun when your birthday falls on a Saturday.

Every birthday needs balloons! Balloons greeted the guests on the mailbox...

The 2 year old balloon was so big it floated off to outer space before the end of the day.
Ready for our guests to arrive...

Party favors for the guests....with no sugary candy. ;) (your welcome Mamas) They had sand buckets filled with paint, playdoh, bubbles, maracas, and sidewalk chalk.

This party was so much fun even an armadillo joined us! I am glad I didn't know an armadillo came to the party until I started going through pictures. Only in Enterprise, Alabama....

We had so many messy activities for the kiddos...

We had a painting station with different mediums. The HUGE fly swatters (that I snagged from the Dollar Tree) were a BIG hit!

There was moon sand for castle building. (this was my favorite) Thank you pinterest for showing me flour and oil makes this wonderful beach-like sand!

There was colored spaghetti....(so pretty!)

We had a pool of Oobleck...(another 2 ingredient happy...cornstarch + water = Oobleck)

A bug dig with soil and plastic bugs...

A snake pit with Jello and plastic snakes...(we had a JELLO fail and half of our jello didn't make it)

We had a super fun MESSY slide...

We had a picnic table covered in pudding for finger painting....(I missed a before pic of this!)

We had a few non-messy sensory activities....

Sidewalk Chalk!

Bubbles and a Bubble Machine...

A water table...

A sprinkler that never really worked the right way, but still sprayed water...

And last but not least....a car wash...

Lauren Poss made our fun Messy Cake! It was delicious!!!!

The kiddos also had different colored goldfish for snacking. All of the tableware was mismatched in honor of the "Messy Theme". We had gummy worms on the table and different colored party blowers. I had to make sure Owen had party blowers and hats. Those were two things he specifically requested. :)

Somebody was so ready to hear the Birthday Song! Happy Birthday Buddy! Mommy and Daddy love you to the moon and back!!!!

Time to blow out the candles!!!!

I think it is safe to say Owen had a blast at his party...

Owen painting with his favorite person in the world... Owen loves everyone in his family, but he has a special bond with his "Aunt Nina". He even chooses her over me. He doesn't choose ANYONE over his Mommy. When he says jump, she says how high?!? She never tells hims no....EVER....I've never heard the word no come out of her mouth around him. I always tell her she doesn't have to do what he says, but she says that is what Aunts are for, and a Mommy's job is to say no. :) I like your thinking girl....and so does Owen!

He had so much fun on his big day!

"Look, Ella!"

"I found a bug!"

Painting with my boo...

Owen wants to be just like Spencer and Skyler. He really admires them!

Owen was so happy that Aunt Devon made a special trip to Enterprise just for his birthday party. He loves to play on Aunt Devon's phone. :) Aunt Devon has the greatest games and coolest camera on her phone. They take the cutest/sweetest pictures.

Owen's party guests had fun playing as well...

Kayleigh playing on the water table...

Little Diva Ella....

Miss Taylor LOVED the messy party....absolutely loved it! She had so much fun!

See what I mean... haha! Love that leg!

Grayson worked so hard cutting our grass!

Sweet Emme Grace checking out the shaving cream...

Andrew playing in the moon sand...

What do you mean there is spaghetti in my hair?!?

"You need a shower."

"Refreshing!"

"Your turn!"

Look at that sweet messy hiney....

Water from the water table is so much better than a sippy cup....

Even the adults had a good time...

We love this picture of Papaw...

Smiling with her trach and all!

I love this one too!

Owen doesn't even know how blessed he is to have such an awesome family.

After all of the guests left, we opened presents. Here are a few cute ones!

Owen is such a helper .Between his broom from Gangan and Pappy, and his kitchen helper from Mimi and Poppy he gets a lot done! If you have a child Owen's age, I MUST suggest the kitchen helper.

He loves JAKE!

I am so glad Owen's party was all that he wanted. Every time we go to Mimi and Poppy's he says "Hey, where is my birthday party? Where'd my party go??"

Here's to another year sweet boy! May it be just as fun and happy as the last...and a little bit slower...

He is growing too fast!!!!

Wasn't this day YESTERDAY???
