Christmas Time Fun!

My little artist has been hard at work this month. We have put the "preschool" program on the back burner to have some Christmas fun.

I am so lucky, to get to look at this precious artwork hanging on my window every day. :)

Here are some pictures of Owen and Anna Scott painting Christmas Trees. I thought he did very well for an 18 month old!

I Owen and Anna Scott love sensory activities!

We played with a little vinegar, food coloring, and baking soda recently. Owen was in awe of the Christmas color explosions. :)

We ate played with homemade "Christmas play-doh".

Owen said his snowman needed hair. :)

A Daddy and an Owen
Owen and Anna Scott made pretty Christmas trees from ice cream cones, icing, and sprinkles.

We painted ourselves Christmas Tree Bottles. This was so messy much fun!

Owen had so much fun at the Emmet O' Neal Library Christmas Party. Here is a picture of him with the sweet twins. He wanted to sit right in the middle. Smart boy!

Owen didn't really like wearing his Rudolph nose. :)

I will end this blog with some pictures of the precious ornaments Owen made to hang on the tree. I know I will cherish these forever!

18 months

This little man turned 18 months old on the 1st and he melts my heart!

Owen is now 22.5 lbs.

He has 9 teeth.

His favorite foods are blueberries, grapes, chips, pickles, and steak.

He dislikes marshmallows.

He still nurses several times a day, but mostly when he first wakes up and is tired.

He loves to play outside.

His favorite toys are choo choos and his T-ball set.

His favorite movie is Baby Songs.

His favorite shows are Pajanimals, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Chuggington.

He is the silliest little monkey and he loves to make people laugh.

There are so many things I love about my precious angel.

I love the way he curls his toes up when he is relaxing.

I love the way he says milk with a southern accent.

I love how animated he is.

I love the way he "hops", but his feet never leave the ground.

I love the way he sings.

I love that when we get in the car he asks for the choo choo song.

I love the way he says happy, happy, happy when he is in a good mood.

I love that he can't tell you what a lion or tiger says without clinching his fists.

I love his "peaceful" temper tantrums where he lays on the floor quietly and does a roll or two.

I love watching him read his books to himself.

I love that he wakes up at 4:30 every morning to come snuggle with me in our bed.

I love that when we lay together he pats my back like I pat his.

I love that he puts the article a or the in front of everything. The Mommy....A Daddy

I love that when he wants something he says "that Owie's".

I love that he is full of laughter all of the time.

I love the way he smiles with his whole face.

I love his "silly face".

I love his big bear hugs.

I love when he hears the word Enterprise he can name EVERYONE's name in the family. Starting with the dog of course...

I love his obsession with his Alabama baseball cap. He wears it from the time he gets up until he goes to bed.

I love the way his feet pitter patter on the hard wood floors.

I love the way that he gets hot and cold confused sometimes. He will put his feet on the cold floor and say HOT!

I love that he has a vivid imagination and is already pretending.

I love that he loves to baby his baby dolls and stuffed animals.

I love the sound he makes while pretending to feed a baby a bottle.

I love that he looks for the moon and the stars even in the day time.

I love the way he dances to the bean bag rock.

I love how excited he gets to see Anna Scott in the morning.

I love that he loves to color and paint, and the look he makes while doing it.

I love that he knows some of his colors, but he always says the color "blue" first.

I love his sweet kisses.

I love watching him pretend to cook.

I love that he is so attached to me.

I love that he calls babywearing "back".

I love that he still nurses.

I love that he will sit in my lap for hours, and would let me carry him around all day.

I love how much he loves Mickey Mouse and Elmo.

I love that when a show is over he says Uh-oh Uh-oh.

I love that when he does something he isn't supposed to do, he turns around and looks at me like "is this okay this time?"

I love the way he says jacket. "Gacket"

I love the way he gets excited when it is time to brush his teeth.

I love that he thinks anything falling from the sky is bubbles. His humidifier, dust...anything...

I love when he pretends to blow dry his hair.

I love the way he says scary or spooky when he goes into a dark room.

I love when he wakes up he doesn't call for Mommy or Daddy. He calls for "milk".

I love that when he picks up the camera he says CHEESE!

..but most of all I love that God chose me to be his Mommy. :)

I am so blessed that Owen is my son.

Here are a few more pictures from our 18 month photo shoot.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

I LOVE Christmas, but Christmas is even more fun through my sweet baby's eyes!

Owen loves everything Christmas. His favorite thing is a "no-man". (snowman) He can also tell you about and say stockings, Santa, Ho-Ho, Reindeer, Christmas Trees, Tinsel, Candy Canes, Holly, Gingerbread Men, Presents, Nutcrackers, and several other things. Today we sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. He kept saying "again again". We haven't had a nap, but we've sang Happy Birthday to Jesus about 500 times. I want him to know what Christmas is all about. :) One of my favorite Christmas words Owen has learned is "nativity". He says "ta tivity", and he can point one out anywhere. :)

Owen got his first advent calendar this year.

Here he is on December 1st, opening his first chocolate....

Is this what I think it is?

 "Yea! Chockit"...

I have spent hours on Pinterest, and our house is covered in glitter, but the Fall house is starting to look like Christmas!

My first project was an easy Deco-Mesh bow for the mailbox...

I also made our tree topper this year...

Owen picked out some "No-men" for his room.

He also wanted to hang his Daddy's old stocking in his room. :)

The garland above the door was another pinterest project.

And this garland as well. I was really happy with the way it turned out.

Owen's elf. Owen says he is on a chair.

A hot chocolate bar

I loved this ribbon so much. I just had to make a bow.

The nativity

I've had so much fun doing Christmas art projects with Owen.

Owen decorated the glass door with window clings.

Our refrigerator turned into Frosty!

I love the way these turned out.

The stockings were hung by the chimney with care. I know Owen has been a really good boy this year, so he needed a rather large stocking. :)

Owen's felt tree. Mommy did an awful job making ornaments, and the tree is a little lopsided, but didn't Owen decorate it well?

Merry Christmas!
