Olive's Fall Festival

Last weekend, we took Owen to the Olive Baptist Church Fall Festival. I couldn't believe how big the festival was!!! We got there around 10:00, didn't leave until closer to 1:00, and we only did "toddler" activities. In fact, we didn't even finish the toddler activities. We didn't get to the bounce houses or hay rides. This was the biggest fall festival I have ever seen!

Here are Owen and Daddy waiting to ride the ponies. :)

Owen rode the horses like such a big boy. We didn't even hold on to him. He held on by himself and rode. He now wants a pony for Christmas. Thank you Olive Baptist Church...haha ;)

Time for a rubber duck race! I love Owen's look on his face, while squirting the water gun.

Owen LOVED the petting zoo.

I'm just in love with this picture!

Chasing Ducks!

Riding the Choo Choo Train...

Wait a second, Mommy and Daddy aren't coming with me?

Owen is slightly obsessed with carnival games...

Waiting patiently for his turn at pumpkin bowling...

STRIKE!

Despite the look on his face, Owen really enjoyed his popcorn and lemonade. (Mommy loved her funnel cake too!) This poor baby was exhausted.

He perked up when he saw there were games inside too!

Giving out hugs! So sweet!

We had so much fun at Olive's Fall Festival! I am so happy that they do this great event for the community.

Stay tuned! We have three Halloween parties this week, and lots of trick or treating to come!

....and just in case you missed it...

Pumpkin Carving, Pumpkin Painting, and Park Fun!

Whew! I am going to have a time keeping up with all of our fall festivities. We have been having so much fun this fall with Owen. I thought I would put all of my Halloween pictures in one blog, but I am afraid it would be a little overwhelming. :)

Just in case you missed it, here is the link to our Pumpkin Patch visit. We've made it a tradition to take Owen every year.

This blog is a little out of order, but I wanted to share this picture first. I take a picture of Matt and Owen on the stairs every year with their pumpkin. I know it might sound silly, but these pictures mean so much to me. Not only do the pictures show how much Owen has grown and changed, but they document changes in our lives as well. You might notice we are on a different set of steps this year, as our family has ventured to Pensacola. So I am starting this blog off with my priceless photo of my two precious boys! I love them so much.

Look how much our little boy has changed.

Owen had good intentions when it came to carving his pumpkin this year. We couldn't find a Caillou template, and he had a hard decision to make. It took him three days to choose between a Jake pumpkin, a Curious George Pumpkin, or a Daniel Tiger pumpkin. He finally decided on Daniel Tiger.

Everything started out just fine...

Until Owen discovered what was actually inside the pumpkin...

He gave the pumpkin one more chance...

Then he was just absolutely disgusted. Not only did he asked to be moved away from the pumpkin, but wanted to go outside so he didn't have to smell it.

Matt is so sweet. He carved the rest of the complicated pumpkin all alone. Owen sat on the other side of the house and kept saying "What's that 'mell? I STILL 'mell it!!!!".

It's Daniel Tiger!!!!! Good job, Daddy!

While I gave Owen a bath, Matt roasted pumpkin seeds for Owen's "bedtime 'nack".

He loved them! And yes, we are wearing Christmas pajamas. All of this Halloween fun has our little boy ready for Santa. Makes perfect sense in a two year old's mind. :) I could just eat him up!

Now, we back track....

Last Wednesday, Owen and I invited the Panhandle Playdates group to one of our favorite parks for some pumpkin painting fun! We LOVE Ascend park near our house.

Owen really enjoyed painting his pumpkin. I love his look of concentration!

Owen's masterpiece...

Mrs. Amber brought mini cupcakes. Owen thought they were delicious.

Hunter wasn't sure which was the tastiest....his juice box or his paint. :)

Owen and Bree play so well together! Bree is a little less than a year older than Owen. I think they just might become good friends.

Here they are playing chase...

They did such a great job taking turns! That is a hard task for a 2 and 3 year old!

Owen LOVES the stage at Ascend Park. They have benches in front of it for Mommies and Daddies to be in the audience. Owen calls me a "pectater" (spectator) when I sit on the benches.

I couldn't believe Owen wasn't too shy to do this, but he stood on the stage and sang his ABCs to everyone.

Owen and Bree putting on a good show...

Playing on the boat!

Not a fan of the tire swing...

We love this park so much that we went again on Friday. We had to take Daddy on his day off. :) I love our every other Friday family day!

As if this blog isn't scattered enough....I thought I would end it with some of my favorite pumpkin carving/painting pictures from the past. I love looking back on sweet memories!

4 months Pumpkin Carving...

Chunky Monkey!

Gummy grin and double chin!

Parent's of the year! Didn't even think about it when we placed the pumpkin on the stove for this picture. It looks like we are cooking our sweet baby!

Pumpkin Carving at Anna Scott's house! 16 months...

Pumpkin Painting at the Park Play Date 16 months...

Oh how I miss watching these two grow up together! We think about you every day, Anna Scott!

Sweet Friends!

Yes, we were still crawling at 16 months. At this point Owen could take about 10 steps. Sweet boy has been talking in small sentences since he was 14 months old, but didn't fully walk until 17 1/2 months!

Matt and I feel so blessed to be Owen's parents! We have so much fun, and love Owen's zeal for life.

The fun doesn't stop here....stay tuned for a Fall Festival, Halloween parties, Trick or Treating, and more....
