Playing with Owen

Have you ever played so hard, you couldn't finish your grilled cheese sandwich?

This baby has!

This summer has been full of RAIN! In fact, July was a world record for Florida. I think August is working on a world record as well. Rain is no fun for an active two year old, but we always try to find something fun to do inside. Ignore all of the pajamas. We don't get dressed on rainy days. :)

Owen LOVES helping me cook. This kitchen helper is probably one of the best gifts we've ever received. We use it daily and sometimes several times a day. Good thinking Mimi and Poppy!

Helping Mommy make blueberry muffins...

Where have all the blueberries gone??

One for the batter...

One for Owen's belly...

Watching the muffins rise...

Precious angel baby!

Making dinosaur prints on a rainy day is lots of fun!

ROAR!

Stomp! Stomp!

While we were at it, we made car prints too!

Owen wanted to make "Owen prints".

We made a life-size paper Owen!

He always takes my directions to heart. "Owen be still, so I can trace you." Sweet boy didn't even flinch.

"Mommy I gotta draw my baseball glove!"

We've enjoyed lots of homemade popsicles lately!

Today was the best day of all. I had a chiropractor appointment downtown. There are lots of fun things near Dr. J's office. The rain held off long enough for Owen and I to have a picnic at Plaza De Luna, and play in splash pad.

Owen fell while walking to the food trucks to get our lunch. He said the only thing that would make him feel better was lemonade. Owen rarely gets anything to drink that isn't water. I would never give him tea, coke, or Kool-Aid, but I figured a squirt of fresh squeezed lemonade wouldn't hurt. I just couldn't resist. We got a large lemonade with two squirts of lemonade and the rest water. He didn't know the difference. Mommy was happy, and so was Owen. Thank goodness, because those drops of lemonade made his knee feel so much better!

Grilled Cheese!

Pickles!

Owen says the "Pash Pad" is his "faborite for-eeebbber and eber!" (favorite forever and ever)

When we left Owen said he was so hungry he could eat a moose. He settled for the rest of his sandwich instead.

Until next time...
