Happy Halloween...and the day after!!!!!

We had lots of fun days getting ready for Halloween. (See Pumpkin Patch, Pumpkin Painting and Carving, Olive's Fall Festival, and The Days Before Halloween)

Halloween arrived, and Owen was so excited.

Owen woke up the morning of Halloween to a breakfast made by his Jack-O-Lantern.

"Jack" made Owen a pumpkin shaped egg, a tangerine, turkey sausage, and an orange cup filled with water. Mommy was happy that "Jack" knows how important it is to eat a healthy breakfast high in protein. :) We've been working on cutting the processed foods from Owen's diet.  Jack even made sure the sausage was nitrate free. :)

Apparently, eggs that are shaped like pumpkins taste better. Owen gobbled his pumpkin up!

Trying to figure out this frustrating cup. Owen never drank from these cups. He always drank from a straw instead.

Owen goes to a gymnastics class once a week at Kidsnasium. He LOVES it! His class fell on Halloween day. What a perfect time for a Halloween party!!!!!

After breakfast Owen Jake, got dressed and ready to go to the Clown Fish Class!

Jake hanging...

Beckett aka Curious George loved Owen's Jake headband.

Time for some obstacles! Owen has turned into a child that LOVES structure lately. His favorite part of gymnastics is the organized obstacle course play. If a child moves one of the objects in the obstacle course, he quickly goes and puts it back. He also makes sure everything stays in its proper spot. He spent ten minutes of gymnastics taking the little golf balls out of the ball pit and putting them in the golf ball box. So sweet!

First obstacle...jump on the color dots and say the color name...

Then walk on the tippie toe balance beam!

He will do the obstacles again and again...

I had to take a picture of this cute little Hulk climbing up the stairs while Owen was jumping on his color dots.

Next obstacle....Roll the Octagon...

Next.....soccer time. Owen LOVES soccer!

He made a goal from this far back!

The little bumble bee is taking flight on the zip line...

....and Jake is bouncing around in the ball pit!

Curious George joined Jake for a little while...

Parachute Rides!!!!

Owen and Lilly (Tinkerbell) love this!

Getting a group picture of 14-36 month olds is hard work...

Owen picked raisins as his trick or treat snack. I couldn't believe he surpassed the chocolate for the raisins, but I was happy. :)

What it is time to go already?!?!?!

Leaving gymnastics is no fun!

Owen loves to stop by the fountain and get water on the way out. He is doing great drinking from an adult cup! He rarely spills anymore.

We had a few errands to run later that day. I thought Owen might want to put on regular clothes, but he didn't. It is important that you stay in character all day on Halloween. ;)

Mommy had to stop by Everman's downtown to grab a few things. Jake tagged along with me...

Afterwards, we had to stop by a children's store downtown to get Owen some new shoes. I hope Jake and Owen wear the same size, and I hope Owen likes squeaky shoes. ;) Jake picked out some red velcro squeaky tennis shoes, and some navy squeaky dressier shoes. I couldn't believe that Jake/Owen is now in a 6 1/2-7 shoe!

New shoes, picked out by a pirate. (I know I take pictures of everything, but this was his first time picking out his own shoes....gotta capture it)

Seriously, there is never a dull moment in Matt and I's lives.... What did we do before Owen? These rain boots lit up, and Jake really wanted to leave with them as well. (mismatched and on the wrong feet at that)

When we got home Jack made Owen lunch! I think Jack had some pinterest fails, but he made Owen shredded unsweetened coconut in the shape of a bat, hot dog ghosts, and Halloween shaped mac and cheese. Our lunch was a little processed....but he did happen to hide to some carrots in that mac and cheese, and he used nitrate free hot dogs. Good try, Jack!

Owen took an extra long nap on Halloween. When he woke up, Daddy was home. It was time to eat dinner and head to TRICK OR TREAT!

I thought we would get away with just a little trick or treating this year. I sure was wrong. Owen's phrase of the night was "let's find another house!". He did a very good job saying trick or treat and thank you. I was so proud of him!

We went to a little neighborhood near our apartment complex called Milestone. It was perfect!

Walking to a house for the first time by himself...

Love the pigeon-toed boots. :)

Owen cracked me up when he saw this Snoopy. He immediately said...I NEED my picture taken with that, so that is what we did!

Since it was Halloween, Owen got to pick out TWO pieces of candy. That is a big treat for him!

Such a hard decision...

He picked a Butterfinger and some Skittles...

Today was a rainy day, and I had already vowed it would be our stay at home/pajama day. Owen and I still have fun on Pajama Day!

To get his mind of all that processed candy, we made whole wheat non-processed sugar cookies. They aren't "healthy" by all means, but at least they aren't processed and filled with food dye. We even bought sprinkles that were dyed naturally from the natural food store. :) My heart goes out to all of the teachers today, that have a class room full of candy induced behavioral problems.

Butter serves as a trumpet too, right?

Why are you taking pictures of me, let's do this!?!

Owen mixing the dry ingredients with a fork...

Spreading the flour for Mommy. This is SO much fun for a two year old!

Rolling the dough...all by himself...

Time to cut the cookies...

"Mommy, this is like play doh!"

Maybe if I stare hard enough they will cook faster...

Sprinkle time!

It's the little things!!!!

High Five Mommy! These are yummy!

After our cookie baking fun, I let Owen have a glow in the dark bath. I forgot I had glow stick necklaces for us to wear while trick or treating. I threw them in the tub with Owen, and he literally had an hour of fun!

Do they come any more gorgeous? I don't think so...even with that ketchup face!

The "Switch Witch" comes tonight....I wonder what she will bring?
