16 Month Check Up

Owen's 16 month check up was right at lunch time today. We had a early lunch right before we left. I thought I would give Owen some ketchup to dip his turkey burger in to make a lunch a little bit more fun.

He got just a LITTLE bit messy, and had to have a quick sink bath before we left. :)

Owen is growing so big and strong! He was 32 inches long and in the 50-75th percentile for height. He weighed 21 lbs 3 oz and was in the 5-10th percentile for weight.

Dr. Amason said Owen is the perfect example of a baby everyone prays for....He is a picture of health, mild mannered, and very intelligent.

My little Owen was quite the show off today. Usually, he doesn't like to perform, but he LOVES performing for Dr. A.

Owen taught Dr. Amason all about animals! He told him "Culls go tee" (Squirrels go tree). He told him all of his animal sounds.

Owen also told Dr. Amason about "BIGGGG Tucks" (trucks), and "Cahs" (cars).

He showed Dr. A all of his sign language.

Last but not least....he told Dr. A all about "Me Mou" (Mickey Mouse) and "Melmo" (Elmo). He showed Dr. Amason the "Hot Dog Dance", and told him about Toodles  and Mr. Noodle.

Owen laughed when Dr. Amason looked in his ears and felt his tummy.

Dr. A said Owen would walk when he was ready, and was by no means behind with his physical development. He just isn't ready to take off yet.

Poor little Owen had to get 3 shots today. (flu, Hepatitis A, and MMR) His poor little heart was broken...
This picture makes Mama want to cry. :(

Good thing that Mama knows JUST how to fix a sweet little boy's broken heart. Edgewood Creamery! A superman ice cream cone can fix just about anything...

Stay tuned for lots of Fall Fun this month!
